Abstrak

Dermatitis atopik (DA) adalah inflamasi kulit sangat gatal yang sering ditemukan pada anak dan bersifat kronik residif, sehingga memengaruhi kualitas hidup pasien maupun keluarga. Patogenesis DA bersifat kompleks dan multifaktorial dengan keadaan patologis utama berupa gangguan sawar kulit yang dapat mencetuskan eksaserbasi akut. Perawatan kulit pada pasien DA merupakan salah satu upaya non farmakologis yang dibutuhkan untuk memperbaiki sawar kulit dan mencegah kekambuhan. Penggunaan pembersih ringan, pemakaian pelembap secara rutin, pemilihan bahan pakaian, memutus siklus gatal garuk, dan eliminasi faktor pencetus merupakan rangkaian perawatan kulit yang telah banyak diteliti keberhasilannya terkait dengan manfaat klinis pada gangguan sawar kulit. Tata laksana pasien DA membutuhkan pendekatan secara holistik diikuti dengan perawatan kulit berlandaskan bukti (evidence-based medicine) dan tata laksana farmakologis. Memperbaiki keadaan patologis sawar kulit merupakan dasar dari perawatan kulit pasien DA. Hal tersebut membutuhkan kerjasama dan dukungan orang tua dalam pelaksanaannya sehari-hari, sehingga diharapkan tercapai kepatuhan, kemandirian, dan peningkatan kualitas hidup yang baik bagi pasien maupun keluarga.
