Pemberian Suplementasi Probiotik Pada Kehamilan Untuk Pencegahan Dermatitis Atopik Pada Anak

Dermatitis atopik adalah penyakit inflamasi kronis dengan prevalensi tinggi pada anak yang terus meningkat di seluruh dunia. Dermatitis atopik merupakan penyakit multifaktor yang mencakup faktor genetik, pajanan infeksi, pajanan makanan, alergen dan lingkungan. Pruritus berulang yang dialami oleh pasien dermatitis atopik dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup dan dapat menjadi masalah yang serius. Hingga saat ini steroid masih menjadi terapi utama bagi pasien dermatitis atopik, baik pada anak maupun dewasa. Namun mengingat banyaknya efek samping yang ditimbulkan akibat pemberian steroid jangka panjang, alternatif terapi lain terus dicari. Peningkatan insidens dermatitis atopik yang bermakna secara global telah mengubah fokus riset para peneliti dalam pencegahan dan penanganan dermatitis atopik. Salah satu upaya pencegahan dermatitis atopik pada anak yang dianggap menjanjikan adalah pemberian suplementasi probiotik pada masa kehamilan. Beberapa penelitian memberikan hasil yang positif dalam menurunkan risiko dermatitis atopik melalui pemberian suplementasi probiotik saat hamil. Namun berbagai faktor, misalnya jenis probiotik yang digunakan, waktu pemberian, durasi pajanan probiotik dan dosis pemberian juga penting untuk diteliti lebih lanjut. Â
